An input field that allows to pick alternatives for given strings.

We use that extended input field with the index server plugin: After a search we offer alternatives for the words the user was looking for.

Requirements:

• Tested on Internet Explorer 6.
• Does not work on Mozilla and Opera because ie's contentEditable feature is used. Mozilla could be supported with additional coding.
• The initByField() way is backward compatible; if the browser does not support the fancy stuff, the input field remains as it was.
